vermont Children need to hear the Bible stories.
Who better to reach them than other young people teamed with adult Support

Many churches have a VBS program that tend to reach just their own and a few friends...
What if the church members collectively brainstormed youth groups of the community and strategized how to reach out to them?
For example - What if adults/teens volunteered to assist with
after school programs sharing things they enjoy with children in the schools.
Baking cookies and decorating them Playing board games
Teaching dances Bring baby animals to visit and then you invite them to come to VBS?
OR - What if young people engaged as
assistants with ball teams and invited the team to come to VBS?
assisted with a scout troop or 4 H group and invited them to come to VBS?
engaged in fun events with special needs students - Special Olympics coaches...
and then invited those children to join you at VBS?

What if your church doesn't have a VBS? Many smaller communities don't have enough people to organize a churchwide VBS program such as Lifeway.
That is why Superheroes in Training was prepared. It is FREE, though you may find it helpful to have some training - coming in mid May and mid June and perhaps Fourth of July week. It can be done in backyards, at parks, with a host to help with snacks and hospitality. Click here for more

Child Evangelism Fellowship seeks to train young people to be summer missionaries teaming with the church or someone with a picnic table, or a host at a park with a willing to assist with snacks and supervision for a backyard 5-Day Club lasting a couple of hours. Often a sponsoring church offers assistance to recruit kids.

CEF can't always supply a summer missionary. Training to implement a similar program with Superheroes in Training will be offered to teens who find a local prayer partner/sponsor to assist in arranging locations for backyard VBS and encourage churches to reconnect with children.
Young people can volunteer to assist with AWANA programs if your church or one near you has one. Click here for more

This is another way to experience Christian camps, though they are not part of the summer 25 campership program. There may be some teens interested in month long adventures as a volunteer at one of these camps - scattered around the USA.

Come home and help spur the formation of Young Life Clubs to have fun nights/events that reach out to teens in your community. We will count this toward a 2026 Campership if you will help find other teens and a local leader to stir a local Young Life club.
All of these volunteer efforts should be rewarded. That's what Pray for Vermont Campers is about - encouraging teens to be a catalyst to encourage letting Jesus Shine His Light through us - to younger children, peers and even adults.
