Are you someone with a heart for God, a love for kids, and willing to reach out to create fun faith building memories for kids between the ages of 4-14.  Too many of these children are minimally acquainted with Bible stories, others have never heard of the Bible.
***************

Roy G Biv is seeking to build a loose networking community to help Christians focus on the need to reach out to kids in the 4-14 Window.  It is an age group that many churches are missing these days. It is time to team to find ways to reach out to them.  The church reaches out to homeless, to those needing food, to seniors, but the 4-14 Window generation is being missed.  They need to learn there is a God who loves and cares for them.

This 3 min. clip explains what George Barna discovered about the 4-14 Window.

Bible story coloring pages have QR codes that link to Sunday School videos and songs about the stories, too.

Teens - you are the babysitters, the ones the 4-14 age group easily gravitates towards, and the ones they might encounter in your community if you would engage as a sports assistant, help with scouts, 4- H, Lego Leagues, after school programs or take on the challenges of mingling to assist with Special Olympics.  Make your youthful connections count for God.  Arm yourself with Bible story coloring pages and as led, distribute them.

Churches - How do you connect with children?  Do you have a Sunday school, a children's sermon, a vacation Bible school?  Do you have any children?  Do you/might you have Family Film nights that invite grandkids and young families? How about a family fun night at church with games and activities?  Maybe there could be a week night to give parents a free babysitting night out.  Some churches have a midweek Sunday school for kids.

How about scouting for kids to invite.  You could serve hot chocolate at the sledding hill.  See about baking cookies for kids to decorate as an after school program activity periodically. Do you have skills/crafts you could share with a scout or 4-H group?  Adopt an elementary sports team and become faithful fans
.

Then, when your church has a Vacation Bible School be sure to include all the warm encounters with kids you've encountered in the community.  Be sure to reach out beyond the kids in your church and a few of their friends.  The children of the entire community need to hear about Christ.  If not you - who will reach out to them.  Encourage teens to be helpers at VBS, FCA sports camps and Awana.  Encourage teens to engage and help with youth groups of the community and extend invitations to VBS, too.
