2) Do your planning and prep work. Pick a story or two for each day. Print out appropriate coloring pages. Locate crayon or colored pencil supplies. Create name plates for each child if you don't know them - (fold an index card in half and write the child's name on it) You may want to explore a simple craft or two for a couple of days.
3) Find a friend or a trusted teen to assist you.
4) Pull together a game box or something they can do while waiting for others to arrive - A box with legos, balls, coloring, puzzles, short games, some easy reading books...
5) Contact parents and/or extend invitations.

Recommended format:
Arrival time activity (10-15 min.) Choice is good - Have a box with legos, balls, coloring, puzzles, short games, some books... be sure it gets cleaned up when you are ready for the welcome circle.
Welcome cirlce time (20-30 min.) - play a get to know you game -ask the kids, they likely have favorites from their morning circles at school or look up icebreakers for kids or check out https://kidactivities.net/activities-that-connect-kids/ Recommended: Include some movement
Pick a theme song for the week and sing it daily. Repeat songs you know well helps. Some suggestions: If You're Happy and You Know It; Rejoice in the Lord, Always; Do Lord, oh Do Lord; Lord, I want to be a Christian In a My Heart - check out the song tabs under each of the story videos to find other song suggestions. Sing 2-4 songs daily. (Use the recordings on this site and have them sing-a-long if you don't know them well.) Encourage motions to songs or clapping rythyms.
Story time ( 20-30 min.) Move to a picnic table or another space if available. Start with story time. Use the videos or find a children's Bible with the stories to read to them. Ask questions to help guide their attention to key people and events of the story. At the end ask the children to fill in the blanks and help you retell the story - who was this story about? what happened to them? how did God respond? What might this story look like in today's world? do people still do things like this to upset God today? What might you do? How would a loving God respond today?

Snack time (15-20 min.) Grace followed by crackers, veggie sticks, cheese, popcorn, kool-aid, or be as creative as you want. (Suggestion: Have a food art day - use peanut butter, or cream cheese as a glue and have them build a house, an ark, a manger with carrot or celery sticks.)
Prayer time & Bible memory activity - 15-20 min.
